Zayn Malik is set to release a song addressing racism he faced during his time in the band. The track, titled Fuchsia Sea, features lyrics about being laughed at for being Asian while in a “white band.” Zayn previewed the song on Instagram, hinting that it will be released soon. The singer has previously spoken out about the racism he endured, including being compared to a suspected terrorist on television. Zayn left One Direction in 2015 to pursue a solo career and has since reflected on his time in the band, recently performing a nostalgic song with his former bandmates.
