Wednesday night Milwaukee Buck star Giannis Antetokounmpo had a historic night on the court, and even off the court for a bit. He scored a career-high 64 points! The Bucks went on to win the game over the Pacers 140-126. Typically when you have history-making moments you get the memento of the game. For this, it would have been the game ball.
Turns out the Indian Pacers also had a big night with their rookie, Oscar Tshiebwe also scoring his first-ever NBA points. So they thought he was entitled to the game ball.
The two teams had some talk after the game on the court before Giannis went running towards the Pacer’s locker room looking for the game ball. It turned into an unfortunate situation that ended up getting escalated more than it needed to according to coaching and players from both teams.
As far as who has the game ball, no one is sure I guess at this point. Giannis said during the aftergame press conference that he isn’t sure if he has it or not. The ball that he ended up getting he says doesn’t feel like the game ball, and he can feel the difference and this doesn’t feel like it.
