If you are ready for spooky season, I have found some places you need to visit that you wouldn’t think about!

Eureka Springs, Ark. – it has more mortuaries, funeral homes, and undertakers per each citizen then most US cites. Many ghost stories have been past down over the years, and all the Victorian homes are haunted (ok I made that part up!) But man of the preserved Victorian homes are recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bodie, California – It’s a town frozen in time and preserved by California State Park in a state of arrested decay. The town became a National Historic Landmark in 1961, guarded by ghost and any visitor who takes an item or rock from Bodie will be cursed with misfortune.

Savannah, Ga. – You can walk into historic building and you may catch a sight of a ghostly figure! You can tour the Hamilton-Turner Inn and see objects move, or a mysterious cigar-smoking man or even children’s laughter.

Portlock, Alaska – If you believe in Bigfoot, this top is for you. Residents abandoned the town many years ago because they believed that a hairy creature was killing people. The residents also believed there was a dangerous creature called Nantiinaq that would kill people and then leave footprints or large marks on the dead bodies! There are not very many tours that are offered in Portlock, but enter if you dare!
