Taking a vacation is supposed to be relaxing, it mostly was on my trip to the Florida Keys, but I learned a few things while there!
Always get the convertible, you may pay a little extra but its totally worth it! (Side note, put sunscreen on before you get to the beach!)
You will feel like you are driving for hours, because you are. It may only be 90 miles to Key West from the top of the Keys, but there is so much traffic! It’s pretty to look at tho!
Key West is filled with so much history!
Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park has awesome beach views and bird watching and other creatures I was not expecting to see!
Key West is the home of the oldest bar in Florida – Captain Tony’s Saloon!
It’s a must to have a Key Lime Pie when visiting Key West! Best place to try Key Lime Pie is at Kermit’s!
And the sunsets at absolutely breathtaking!
Where we stayed – Key Largo – Lilly and Captain Jack have a wonderful home!
