In case you missed it, over the weekend the Nekoosa Papermakers made it to London Fashion week!
Fashion designer Conner Ives took to Instagram to explain how the Papermakers made it to runway! “Being from the states myself; I’ll often find t-shirts all the way over here in the UK with mascots from small liberal arts colleges/school my friends went to. The supply chain is crazy; that this T-shirt ended up all the way over here in a warehouse in the middle of England.”
Upcycling is the new normal since the pandemic happened. Connor’s fashion design is vintage-meets-streetwear. He says ‘we spend hours picking through piles of t-shirts, and what we make depends on what we find that day.’ Check out more on Conner Ivers fashion designs from The Guardian!
