Brand new Wet Nose Wednesday from the Humane Society of Portage County, Patches. He is a black and white, sheep/poodle mixed breed pup. Patches is approximately 2-years-old. He is neutered and up-to-date on his immunizations.
Meet Patches! We believe he could be a poodle mix. He looks like an English Sheepdog—but has Poodle hair! Patches loves walks in the grass or along the woods and has even tried agility jumping.
It appears that he had a rough start at life when he came into HSPC. He was matted and terrified. It took him awhile to realize that we were not here to hurt him. He has learned to love walks, toys, and the staff members. Once he warms up to you, he is the goofiest guy. He loves to throw soft toys into the air and roll in the grass. He likes to jump up to give you a quick kiss before going back to his toy. Due to his shyness and need for boundaries, we do not think Patches would enjoy living in a home with children. He will need a person who understands dog behavior and body language. Patches will also need to see a groomer regularly to make sure his coat stays mat free! He seems to be potty trained, as his kennel is never messy.
He is an active dog in good health. Patches also loves to play outdoors or indoors with his toys and enjoys daily walks. Patches adoptions fees is $300, you can fill out an adoption application here
