It was truly a millennial throwback moment at Hilary Duff’s concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
As captured on social media, Hilary took the stage wearing a Good Charlotte T-shirt and then brought out the band, led by twin brothers Joel Madden and Benji Madden, to perform the Good Charlotte hit “The Anthem.” But it wasn’t just the music that was a throwback — Hilary and Joel dated from 2004 to 2006.
Hilary is currently married to musician Matthew Koma, while Joel is married to Nicole Richie and Benji is married to Cameron Diaz. All the families are close, though. Matthew, Hilary, Benji, Joel and Nicole all posted a photo of themselves backstage at MSG to their Instagram Stories. It was captioned “FAMILY NIGHT.”
