A group of first-grade girls has formed a flag football team called the “KC Swifties,” inspired by watching NFL games with their families and the high-profile romance between Swift and Kelce.
The National Football League shared photos of the young team on Instagram, with the caption, “This is what it’s all about.”
The girls’ coach, Mr. Smith, expressed his pride in the team, stating, “They’re out there having fun, and that’s what it’s all about.”
The team’s parents have been supportive of the girls’ interest in football, with one parent, Mrs. Johnson, saying, “It’s great to see them enjoying the game and having fun together.” The KC Swifties have become a symbol of empowerment for young girls, breaking stereotypes and showing that they can excel in traditionally male-dominated sports.
