Meet our new Wet Nose Wednesday Pet – Orchid is the highlighted pet this week. She is black and tan, Australian shepard mix breed, 5-months-old and up-to-date on all immunizations.
Orchid is one of 4 puppies that were surrendered to our shelter with their mother. The owner could no longer care for them. The mother is Bailey, who was listed a few weeks ago. She is a beautiful 42 pound Australian shepherd.
Orchid is a 5 month old Australian Shepherd mix. She has short hair and will probably weigh between 30#- 45# when full grown. She us a beautiful black and tan color and has the cutest “perky” ears.
Orchid is a bit shy but with soft voices and gentle handling she will be an awesome cuddle bug. She came to us out of a home where she got used to being with her brothers and sisters—so it took some time to adjust to shelter life. She loves to play with balls and some squeaky toys. She is good with nice dogs and might be ok with a cat if properly introduced. We recommend older children for her.
Orchid will be able to go home May 8th, when her spay surgery has been completed.
