Hot 96-7

Just imagine this: you scored a spot at the big game… but instead of cheering from the stands, you were the grass during Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.

Yes, you read that right. If you’ve been scrolling social media the past few days, you’ve probably seen it — the “grass” on the field during Bad Bunny’s show was actually hundreds of people in full costume. No CGI. No illusion. Real humans, dressed as turf, absolutely committing to the bit.

There were roughly 500 field performers involved in the show, all coordinated by the company Backlit, which handles extras for major productions like this. One performer shared that he applied way back in October, not knowing exactly what role he’d land — just hoping to be part of something huge.

And honestly? It paid off. Between rehearsals and game day, the gig totaled eight days of work, earning him $1,309 to literally lie on the field during one of the most-watched performances of the year.

Moral of the story: sometimes the best seat at the big game… is the grass itself.
