HOT 96.7 and Schierl Tire and Auto Service are teaming up for Teacher of the Month! Every month, we ask students, parents, and faculty members to nominate a deserving teacher to be named our next Teacher of the Month. Each month, we spotlight a new teacher in Central Wisconsin that we can shout out on the radio, brag about online, and celebrate all month long.
This month, we would like to highlight Mrs. Melhberg, a 4th-grade teacher from Immanuel Lutheran School in Wisconsin Rapids. She has helped shape many students, and the way her principal talked about her yesterday, we knew she’s a true gem. One of her former students nominated her by saying this:
This year I felt like my teacher loved me and thought I was amazing. I didn’t ask to stay home once, and I have yet at the end of the school year to get any discipline actions. My teacher helped me be a great student. I get good grades even though I used to get in trouble. She had taught me to be kind and she made me feel important and loved.
