Nicki Minaj shocked fans on Wednesday (Oct. 15) by announcing she’s canceling her upcoming album and possibly retiring from music. The project was expected to drop in March 2026. In a post on X, Minaj wrote, “Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music,” tagging JAY-Z and adding, “Hope you’re happy now. Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a follow-up to Pink Friday 2 (2023), especially after Minaj teased a “3.27.26” release date last month — a tweet that remains pinned to her profile despite the announcement.
