Happy National Radio Day, my friends!
When I think about what radio means to me, so many words come to mind: connection, community, friendship—but most of all, gratitude.
Thank you for letting me be the voice inside your head, whether it’s on your way to work, on the drive to school, or somewhere in between. Every time someone asks me why I wanted to get into radio, my answer is simple: I wanted to make people smile. That’s the honest truth, and I hope that somewhere along the way I’ve managed to bring a little joy to your mornings.
Radio has always been more than just music and talk—it’s about being there for each other. I want to be the break you need during a tough day, the friend who celebrates the good times and helps you through the hard ones, and the soundtrack to the memories you’re making.
Over the last nine years in Central Wisconsin, I’ve made some of the best memories of my life—and that’s because of you, the listeners. You’ve let me share stories, laughs, songs, and moments that I’ll never forget. For almost a decade, you’ve welcomed me into your cars, your kitchens, your workplaces, and your lives.
So today, on National Radio Day, I just want to say: thank you—from the bottom of my heart.
Here’s to the magic of radio, the connections it builds, and the memories still to come.
