Meet our brand new Pet of the Week with The Collar Club is Wisconsin Rapids, Sailor! She is a 5-month-old black and white mixed breed Wirehaired Pointer, weighing 34 pounds; she is up-to-date on her immunizations.
Sailor was abandoned as a small puppy, dropped off just a few blocks for the Humane Society of Portage County. She is very friendly and loves to play. She would do well with adults or older children. The shelter has done a good job of teacher her commands; she already knows ‘sit’ and will do anything for a yummy treat! She will need some house training, as she is still a puppy. Sailor is full of energy but also can be calm and well behaved.
Her adoption fee is $250 plus tax. Part of the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter after her spay surgery, the surgery will be done by the shelter at no cost to the adopter. Coming up Tuesday, March 25th is the 3rd Annual Pours for Paws – A Fundraiser to Benefit the Humane Society of Portage County. KPR and Guu’s on Main are teaming up to host a night of fun and charity. Prizes will be raffled off and all donations and tips will be donated to the Humane Society of Portage County.
