Netflix has announced that Mariah Carey will perform her holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” to kick off its first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday live event.
This comes after the song hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the 15th week. Beyoncé will also perform at halftime of the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans game, with the fun starting at noon when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs. The Texans will then host the Ravens at 3:30 on Christmas Day.
Netflix and the NFL are pulling out all the stops for this special event. Let’s just hope Netflix doesn’t have the same buffering problem we all experienced for the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight last month.
