Ed Sheeran has released a new melancholy Christmas song titled “Under the Tree,” written for the upcoming animated film That Christmas.
The song, co-written with Johnny McDaid, reflects on lost love during the holiday season. The music video features Sheeran and Claudia Jessie in live-action scenes interspersed with animation from the movie.
Directed by Richard Curtis, the film is based on a children’s book series and will premiere on Netflix on December 4, with a star-studded voice cast including Brian Cox and Jodie Whittaker.
