Meet our next Pet of the Week for Wet Nose Wednesday, Snowshoe, at the Humane Society of Portage County. He is a 3-5 year-old male, short hair domesticated cat, neutered and up-to-date on all his immunizations. He is looking for a family that wants a low-maintenance cat. He likes to hang around and just watch people. He was found in the Amherst area as a stray but was never meant to be an outdoor kitty. Snowshoe is not shy around people, but is independent and will come around for ‘pets’ when he wants them. He would do well in a home with no other cats, but dog may be okay. He is not yet ready to be around kids, and does not like to be carried around.

If you are interested in adopting Snowshoe, submit an online application here! His adoption fee is $55+tax. Adoption staff will contact the approved applicant only.

Coming up Sunday, June 23rd is the Walk for Wags to benefit the Humane Society of Portage County. Join them on a leisurely 1.5 mile walk along the Wisconsin River, and bring your pup along. The day will include activities for animal lover, music, demonstrations, vendors, and basket raffles. Register for the walk here!
