Over the past school year, we have asked you to nominate outstanding teacher in the Central Wisconsin area. A big shout out to all the teachers that show up every day for their community, their school and most importantly their students!
Let’s take a look back at this year’s outstanding teachers – Mrs. Richter of Amherst Elementary, Mrs. Pharo of Bannach Elementary, Mrs. Kress of SPASH, Mrs. Plaza of Mountain Bay Elementary, Mr. Feltz of Madison Elementary Mrs. Schneider of Washington Elementary, Mrs. Lecker of Grant Elementary and Mr. Lusic of Amherst High School. Hot 96.7 and Schierl Tire & Auto Service have teamed up to bring you the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, and we are excited to announce Mr. Feltz from Madison Elementary in Stevens Point has been award Teacher of the Year!

Feltzy is truly the greatest! He teaches P.E. at Madison elementary school. He taught Cole Caulfield, and is one of his #1 fans! Every morning I drop my daughter off at school he greets her with a big warm hug, which she looks forward to every day. For 7 years he’s been a part of the Boston School Forest’s polar plunge which helps raise money for the school forest. He does a mean Feltzy Flop and has won awards for that alone! Every year at the end of his flop he does a snow angel in honor of a student who’s live was taken far too early by cancer. Feltzy is truly a real life hero in school and out and deserves to be recognized.
