WHTQ “Teacher of the Month and Teacher of the Year” Contest Rules Addendum
These contest rules are specific to the WHTQ “Teacher of the Month” Contest (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a WHTQ (the “Company” or the “Station”). These rules are intended to supplement the General Contest Rules, however, to the extent that the General Contest Rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s General Contest Rules are available at the Station’s studio at 2301 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the contest page on the Station’s website at www.hot967fm.com.
When:
The WHTQ “Teacher of the Month” Contest will run from 09/05/23 through 04/29/24. The winners of the contest will be determined throughout the run of the contest.
The WHTQ “Teacher of the Year” contest will run from 05/10/24 – 05/19/24. The winner of the contest will be determined at the conclusion of the contest.
Who Can Enter:
Listeners who are 16 and older and who are legal residents of Wisconsin may nominate anyone teaching in a public or private school at any level at a school within 75 miles of the station’s studio. Home schoolteachers are not eligible to win. See general contest rules for additional restrictions.
How to Nominate Teacher of The Month:
To nominate a teacher, go to www.hot967fm.com and complete an entry form with your name, email address, phone number, age. Nominee will also need to provide the Teacher name, school, city, school phone number and what they teach along with why you would like to see them win.
Alternative method of entry: if you don’t have computer access, you can send your name, address, telephone number, email address and date of birth to: WHTQ “The Teacher of the Month” Contest Entry, 2301 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467. Mail entries must be received by 04/27/24.
Listeners may only nominate one teacher during the contest. Teachers may only win teacher of the month once in a twelve month period.
Listeners affirm they own user-generated content, including written nominations, and grant Station a world-wide unlimited license to use the material in any manner.
Teacher of the Month Winners:
WHTQ staff will select a winner in or about the last week of each month (September through April) from all nominations received for the contest. The winning teacher each month will be notified that they have won in person at their school about the first week of the month (October through May), if WHTQ can arrange the visit with the school.
WHTQ may identify a different way to notify the teacher in person if a school visit cannot be arranged. The winning teacher for the month will be announced on WHTQ after the prize award presentation. The listener who nominated the teacher will be interviewed about their nomination.
Each monthly winning teacher will receive a prize of a VISA gift card valued at $50.00,1- free oil change at a Schierl Tire and Service Center and a $50 Schierl Tire Gas Gift Card. Prize Value: $150.00. There will be 8 winning teachers in all.
Teacher of the Year Voting:
Listeners will be able to vote for their favorite Hot 96.7 Teacher of the Month by going www.hot967fm.com starting at 7am on 05/10/24. Listeners can vote once per day. Voting ends at 11:59pm on 05/19/24. Data collected through entry in this contest may be shared with contest sponsors for marketing purposes. The week of 5/20/24 Kori with a K will announce the winning teacher as the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year between 7-8am on-air. The winner will also be contacted by phone. If there is a tie in the number of votes for the winners. A random drawing will be held, and one winner will be made.
Teacher of the Year will get a Hot 96.7 Teacher of the Year Plaque
