You’ve probably done this and on more than one occasion, take a quiz or survey to find out which Hogwarts house the Sorting Hat would put you in. But have you ever wondered what house the Sorting Hat would put your home state in?
While Dish had the same question and to help celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday they set out to see which houses all 50 states would be sorted into.
In order to do this they looked at Google Trends and conducted Harry Potter quizzes with 1,000 people. What they found is that over 50% of the states would be sorted into Slytherin House.
Furthermore they found that only three states (Utah, Michigan, and Connecticut) were sorted into Gryffindor. While 27 states, including Wisconsin, were sorted into Slytherin House. Only 16 states found themselves in Ravenclaw and 5 in Hufflepuff.
